Montgomery County Office of Human Rights to Host Fair Housing Forum

October 31, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Montgomery County’s Office of Human Rights and the Interagency Fair Housing Coordinating Group will host an educational forum about fair housing on Thursday, November 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Silver Spring Civic Building, One Veterans Place, Silver Spring.

The free forum, called “One-Stop Fair Housing Shop,” will focus on housing for people with disabilities and will feature a number of experts in the field. The forum will feature exhibitors and representatives from a number of government agencies, including Montgomery County’s Office of Human Rights, Office of Consumer Protection, Office of Landlord-Tenant Affairs, Commission on People with Disabilities and Housing Opportunities Commission, as well as Maryland’s Commission on Civil Rights and Department of Disabilities. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Equal Rights Center will also participate.
