Ruppersberger to Host Foreclosure Prevention Workshop

Owings Mills, MD - November 18, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD) will host a foreclosure prevention workshop in Owings Mills tomorrow, Saturday, November 18, 2011, to help keep Maryland families in their homes. The workshop will give local homeowners a chance to meet one-on-one with their mortgage lender, servicers and counselors. This is the fifth such workshop Congressman Ruppersberger has hosted since 2010, helping hundreds of families facing foreclosure.

Ruppersberger Calls for Immediate Stop to Foreclosures in MD

Governor Martin O’Malley, Maryland Congressional Delegation Request Court Intervention in Halting Foreclosures

ANNAPOLIS, MD - October 12, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Governor Martin O’Malley joined Maryland’s Congressional delegation today in a letter to Chief Judge Robert Bell, Maryland Court of Appeals, requesting that courts take appropriate action to halt all foreclosures in Maryland temporarily, until Maryland homeowners can be assured they are being treated fairly. In recent days, several lenders have acknowledged that they have failed to follow proper procedures by filing affidavits in foreclosure cases without adequate personal knowledge of the underlying cases.
